ART: Forget the love-in, Milton Keynes Library is hosting a sew-in this weekend!

An exhibition of textiles is currently showing at the events space in Milton Keynes Library.

It features the work of five artists who have been inspired by five continents and the variety of stitching that can be found around the world.

Works include mirrors, cushions, goldwork, clothing and dolls, with many items for sale.

On Saturday (November 19) organisers are inviting fellow stitchers to show up at the library and participate in a great big sew-in.

“We would love to see stitching from around the world so we can add new countries to our map quilt,” said organiser Cheryl Montgomery.

"Bring along your own work and share tips, techniques, ideas and designs.  Even if you've never held a needle before, come and see what fun it can be," she added.
The event is open to all and runs between 2pm and 5pm.

> The exhibition continues to November 24, and admission is free.
