ARTIST LAUNCHES NEW COLLECTION AT CASTLE GALLERIES THIS WEEKEND

Contemporary artist Emma Grzonkowski is visiting Castle Galleries in thecentre:mk on Saturday (Oct 18) to unveil her latest collection of vibrant pieces. The artist will be personally presenting her work between 12:30-3:30pm.  Emma is a figurative artist who draws on long periods of self-examination and self-reflection to portray a range of emotional themes -  presenting her viewer with an elaborate visualisation of human emotion. Taking inspiration from the likes of Bacon, Freud and John Piper, Grzonkowski’s vivacious attitude towards life is reflected in her artwork. Her unique technique of allowing paint to bleed and dry naturally on the canvas creates works which are bright and captivating in nature. MPMG Emma Grzonkowski “My inspirations are drawn from the reflection of self-experience and emotive senses," Emma said. "My work is an evolving journey, each painting representing feelings and states of being.” Peter Viet Lu, Castle Galleries, Milton Keynes’ gallery manager, said: “Emma Grzonkowski’s work is very beautiful and colourful; it is an honour that we can welcome her to our gallery. This is a unique opportunity for the people of Milton Keynes to meet Emma Grzonkowski on their doorstep, to talk about her inspiration and her work in a relaxed and informal setting,” he added.
