Interactive Art: Settle back with Contemplation Seats

Contemplation Seats is an ongoing interactive artwork taking place on the only working stretch of the old 'varsity' line spanning Bedford and Bletchley.

The line will mark it's 150th birthday in November and artist Sally Annett has installed a series of 'visual and digital pieces which create a real world and virtual contemplative trail which travels directly through the landscape of Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress.'

Real world artworks are found at each station on the line, present as panels with QR links, so if you have an android phone you can access the project and then take the contemplation at any time, or place, in the world.

'These artworks are short contemplations or things to think about,” Sally said.
“They can be individually used whilst waiting for a train, or travelled as a complete narrative during your journey.”

Contemplation Seats runs all the way through to March 2017.
