Milton Keynes restaurant gets a Latin style makeover

Las Iguanas in The Hub is celebrating after undergoing an extensive refurbishment during September.

The new, vibrant look comes courtesy of the team’s recent travels to South America, with comfy banquettes teamed with a backdrop of sunshine colours for customers to relax in.

The most noticeable change is that the bar has been moved to create a more comfortable space for Milton Keynes’ cocktail aficionados to enjoy. The walls are now adorned with bold graphics inspired by the colourful street art in Buenos Aires. Outside a new chunky timber pergola provides shade from the sun and is lit by a festoon of bulbs.

General manager Perry Richardson said: “Our food is all about the passion and bringing the amazing fresh ingredients alive with a little Latin flare – so getting the atmosphere within the four walls of the restaurant to match this was no easy task. But inspired by our travels, we believe that we’ve managed to bring a slice of the colour, chaos and charm that make up South America into the very heart of Milton Keynes.”

The new look coincides with a new menu served up by a team of skilled chefs who love cooking from scratch; discovering unique flavours and inspiring recipes from across Latin America and bringing them to life through high quality, fresh ingredients. In addition, their ‘Hotlist’ continues to offer exciting specials each month; we’re promised a spooky ‘Day of the Dead’ extravaganza coming soon.

Las Iguanas have also gone all out and turned ‘Happy Hour’ in to ‘Happy Days’ for Autumn, with all cocktails now available 2for1 ALL day, EVERY day, and as a commitment to reducing usage and environmental impact with their ‘Straws Suck’ campaign, they will only be giving out plastic straws upon request for most drinks.
