'ACE' NIGHT OUT WITH HOOTON TENNIS CLUB

Alternative guitar band Hooton Tennis Club have been called the 'buzziest new band of the year' by the NME, and you can see if you agree with that statement, when the Liverpudlian brew play Bedford Esquires on Wednesday (Oct 21). 

This lot combine the melodic charm of Teenage Fan Club with the frenetic energy of Blur.  

Their early singles Jasper and the excellently titled Kathleen Sat on the Arm of her Favourite Chair have been featured heavily on BBC Radio 6 music, and in addition to Glastonbury, the band played pretty much every music festival of the summer, so festi-fans among you might have already made their acquaintance.  

Signed to Heavenly Records (home to Total MK favourite Mark Lanegan, incidentally), their debut album The Highest Point in Cliff Town was released in August to rave reviews.  Fans of fuzzy guitars and heartfelt lo-fi indie rock will be enamoured.
