Bedford's Saturday night session with Gentleman's Dub Club

'We are overly stoked to have secured a date with Gentleman’s Dub Club,' say the fine folks at The Pad Presents, who are delivering them to Bedford Esquires this Saturday (October 8).

Gentleman’s Dub Club is an eighteen-legged machine who formed in Leeds a decade or so ago. They have an electronic style based in Dub, Ska and Roots Reggae and are recognised as one of the UK’s top bass music live acts.

Their first studio outing was the ‘Members Only’ EP that went in at Number 1 on the iTunes UK Reggae charts and was soon picked up by  BBC Radio DJ's Sir David Rodigan and MistaJam.

Moving onto their next release ‘Open Your Eyes’, the band secured a live session at the BBC’s famous Maida Vale studios, which featured prominent Grime artist P Money. This resulted with Ian Huffman (Robbie Williams, The Gorillaz, The Specials…) signing up as Gentleman’s Dub Club’s live touring agent.

The band’s first studio album ‘FOURTYFOUR’ was released in 2013 and has securely remained in the iTunes UK reggae charts since release.

‘The Big Smoke’ hit the racks in 2015, and over the years they have played far and wide, tapping up many of the major festivals worldwide;  Glastonbury, Fusion Festival (Germany), Ostroda Reggae Festival (Poland), Outlook Festival (Croatia) and Sula Fest (India).

They've headlined legendary London’s 3000 capacity Roundhouse too, so get a wriggle on if you want tickets for this decidedly intimate show in Bedford.
