Charity: Oxjam Christmas Party - Wesley and Crabtree in the spotlight

Have you got your tickets for the Oxjam Christmas Party yet?

The bash is being hosted at Unit Nine on December 17, and features a fine turn in live music, so you get your fill, while helping those who need it most, thanks to Oxjam. It's a win-win.

As the date nears, we continue our look at some of the bands appearing at the Old Wolverton haunt. This time it's the turn of Wesley and Crabtree...

What can we expect from your set at the gig?
The set is all about evoking the maximum reaction with only two players. You can expect a 6-piece band between the two of us laying down some chill grooves and crazy soul/pop/funk influence at the same time.

How important was it for you to be a part of the Oxjam event, and why?
Being part of the Oxjam event is awesome. Playing with some of the greatest local talent like ‘Toffees’ is awesome. Raising for charity whilst doing what we do is awesome.

What's on the cards for your band in 2017?
Wes: There’s going to be so much going on next year! I’m really excited to be applying for Paul McCartney's prestigious and exclusive University for September of next year. In the meantime I will be growing my fanbase through online means like soundcloud and Facebook as well as keeping up with gigs and festivals.

Bill: My name’s Billy Crabtree - I'm currently signed to reservoir/reverb music. The aim at the moment is on gigging as well as writing as much as possible. I’m hoping to be releasing a project next year and moving forward.
