COMPETITION: CD COMPILATION FADE TO BLACK UP FOR GRABS

If you think that Fade to Black is a classic metal track by Metallica, you would be correct. But it is also the name of a new release compilation CD of theme tracks from a host of modern day TV dramas that have thrilled us. From the best of Nordic noir to US crime series and home-grown class, the 23 tracks includes music from Breaking Bad, The Killing and True Detective, along with Line of Duty, The Bridge and The Returned. Artists featured include Julee Cruise, the accompaniment to Twin Peaks, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, whose work featured on Peaky Blinders, and The Blind Boys of Alabama, with Way Down in the Hole - lifted from The Wire. Acclaimed author Ian Rankin has contributed sleeve notes to the album. He says: “There are sounds here to spark the imagination, tunes filled with tension and intimations of horror, quickening the pulse or lulling the listener into a false sense of security. So sit back and let the darkness embrace you.” And if you enter our competition, that could be easy to do. We have copies of the album up for grabs in this week's contest. To be in with a chance of winning one, we want you to tell us where The Killing originated: Was it: A Sweden B Denmark C Norway Email your answer to: info@totalmk.co.uk putting 'Fade to Black competition' in the subject box.
