When it was originally released, Elvis: That's the Way it is provided fans of the King with their first look at the new contemporary Elvis, performing at the peak of his vocal prowess. It was never meant to be a soundtrack album, and was initially released to accompany the 1970 documentary feature, which combined on-stage, off-stage and behind-the-scenes footage of the iconic entertainer, live in Vegas. The film was directed by Denis Sanders, who captured and illuminated a pivotal moment  in Elvis' transformation from teen idol to total showman  - Memphis meets Vegas via Hollywood. On Monday (Aug 4), a highly collectable 8CD/2DVD box set  (above) will bond together the film and album in a single package for the first time. Unreleased material, and a new 80 page booklet detailing the event will accompany the amazing amount of music. Also released on Monday, a2CD set boasting the original album, original singles, a selection of 'fly-on-the-wall' outtakes and the dinner show. Songs include I Just Can't Help Believin' Mary in the Morning, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me, Stranger In The Crowd, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Love Me Tender and Heartbreak Hotel.
