LUKE IS PUTTING HIS ART AND SOUL INTO THE CRAUFURD ARMS

A city artist is hoping to make his mark - by helping you to leave your own mark on one of the area's best-loved watering holes. The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton has established itself as a tour-de-force on the gigging map for national and international bands, as well as providing a nurturing arm to homegrown talent. It also serves a decent pint, of course. And  Luke McDonnell, artist in residence, has already given the Craufurd a firm identity through re-branding. But he wants to do more: Three large panels in the venue are to be decorated, taking the logo as the centre-piece and possibly featuring you as part of the design! "I want the regulars, musicians, poets, photographers, artists, friends, family and anyone that has had something to do with the Craufurd in the past, immortalised on the wall. "I want everyone to bring something meaningful that helps summarise them as a person...if nothing comes to mind, no matter, we'll get creative! "We will then take a high contrast photo of the individual and the rest is history - they'll be a part of the Craufurd forever." "The centre-piece will be our trademark skull and from that will pour faces, body parts, tattoos, beards and any interesting features. "For those brave enough to get their kit off, I'd like to incorporate some other body parts," Luke -who is also responsible for Total MK's moo-vellous logo - added. "I promise this will be classy and not distasteful and done in private if requested...this will be a monumental task on my part and I'm looking forward to the challenge..." The date for the project launch will be announced soon -  Total MK  will tell you when. Keep in touch via facebook at lukemcdonnellart  1044819_485992571486770_848399778_n copy
