Marco Marconi takes centre stage at this week's Storyville Jazz Club night at MK11

"It isn’t often you discover a performer whose creative ability takes your breath away in the first 30 seconds of hearing their music,” says Anthea Redmond, founder of JazzBitesRadio.

“A style so innovative in concept and contemporary in style, established Jazz artists you’ve come to know and enjoy over time are pushed aside to accommodate a musical sensation so rare you’re knocked off your feet immediately."

Marco Marconi is the man being described.  An accomplished and classically trained Jazz pianist, he grew up in the Umbria region of Italy.

In 2012, he made a pretty big decision - choosing to swap Italy for a life in England to pursue his musical career.

His skill as a composer is  so naturally distinctive and seemingly effortless, he’s earned a reputation as a class act on the British festival circuit, the Fazioli Concert Hall in Venice, and the buzzing London Jazz Club scene.

And the 2013 album Nordik stirred the fans and critics alike…

“Marco is a breath of fresh air for dedicated Jazz fans everywhere,” added Anthea.

On Wednesday night (Dec 21) Marco will be live at MK11’s Storyville Jazz Club.

Tickets are £10 on the door, £6 in advance.
