Milton Keynes musicians come together to help another

Events like this show Milton Keynes' bustling music community at its best.

Tonight, Silver Tongue Bandoliers, Project Noise, Billy Nomad & The Common Army and Kayner are joining forces for a charity bash at MKs newest live music hub, Unit Nine, in Old Wolverton.

A Party for Chlay is a fundraising opportunity for a singer-songwriter who has been managing a number of diagnosed conditions - including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Post Tachycardic Syndrome and Multi Chemical Sensitivity.

Her illnesses mean that her overall body conditioning and immune system have been seriously depleted, leaving her bedbound for the most part of a decade.
Chlay originally wanted to be a dancer, before the conditions made that an impossibility, and she chose the guitar to express herself.

"Throughout everything thrown at her, Chlay is the strongest, kindest and most generous person I know. Even on her most difficult days she helps others without a second thought, and while bed bound herself she donated all the profits from her charity single 'Silently' to the M.E. association," say those setting this show up.

And tomorrow you get to hear how our music-makers can come together to help another.

All monies raised will be donated to Chlay, who has the chance of medical help: Her immune system can be re-booted using stem cell therapy, IV therapy and a targeted approach to help her body regenerate its own immune system - for a price.

By taking a gig for the show, you get to have a good time and help Chlay to get better.
