Photographic David Bowie exhibition is a treat in Sound and Vision

There are shoots when the photographer works with the subject to get the desired effect.  And then there are those unique opportunities that simply can't be foreseen.

A quick click, and a subtle smile or a contemplative look caught forever.  Some of the most iconic shots have been captured that way.

Acclaimed photographer Denis O'Regan has spent decades working alongside some of the most famous ever stadium-filling artists, filling quotas of both.

During his rich and varied career, he has toured the world as official photographer to Neil Diamond, Rolling Stones and Queen.

But it was for the stunning visuals harnessed as David Bowie's official photographer that a sell-out crowd came to Milton Keynes last week.

Denis was the official photographer on Bowie's Serious Moonlight, Glass Spider and Sound and Vision tours, allowing him unique access to one of modern music's real true icons.

'David & I' gave fans an opportunity to enjoy many never-before-seen photographs, and to view the rarities in a contemporary setting.

Off Beat Lounge – specialists in rare limited edition music related photography and art – collaborated with Denis to bring the 40 stunning images to venues country-wide.

In Milton Keynes, Bowie fans flocked to the Lancaster MINI Showroom for the one-night only event – a teaming of two classy, unique names, in music and motoring.

Denis described David as a great friend, and that much is evident in the frames displayed, which capture both sides of Bowie's musical coin - the adored showman, and the relaxed man behind the many personas.

The show was a beautiful collection of moments from a truly unique artist, and as ticket-holders enjoyed the work, an endless stream of Bowie's brilliant songs filled the exhibition space, making for the perfect fusion of Sound and Vision...
