Piano man Elio Pace brings the music of Billy Joel to Milton Keynes

In 2013 and again in 2014, Elio Pace was invited to ‘fill Billy Joel’s shoes’, starring in five very special reunion concerts in the USA with Joel’s original 1971-72 touring band, recreating the historic Sigma Sounds live recordings.

This incredible honour inspired Elio to fulfil a lifetime ambition of creating a theatre show showcasing the wonderful songbook of the six-time Grammy award winner, Billy Joel.

And so, 'The Billy Joel Songbook performed by Elio Pace and his band’ was born.

Elio took to the road in 2014 with the first ever Billy Joel Songbook national theatre tour anywhere in the world, enthralling audiences at 70 venues around the UK and Ireland.

With Billy Joel choosing to perform a mere one or two international shows every few years, there are many fans out there that have never had the opportunity to hear his music live.

'The Billy Joel Songbook’ is packed with more 30 of Joel's hits and fan favourites.

Elio and the band were featured in Sky Sports’ TV and online BAFTA award-winning coverage of the 2015 Ashes cricket tournament, with a specially re-written version of Billy Joel’s ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’.

Now in its fourth year, the 2016 Billy Joel Songbook theatre tour has once again been booked to play at over 50 venues all over the UK - including a double booking at The Stables this Friday and Saturday (September 8 & 9).
