PISTOLS READY TO FIRE AT BEATCHECK BASH

Beatcheck Promotions are taking over The Craufurd Arms this Friday evening (Oct 3) for an night of fired up fun courtesy of Dub Pistols...there's a pun in there, if you care to discharge it... Barry Ashworth's band of reprobates have never played in these parts before, but their amazing live sets, famed for their fusion of ska, dub, hip-hop, electro, breakbeat, punk and drum & bass, have dazzled at many a festival. "We have had Barry with UK hip hop godfather Rodney P quite a few times at Beatcheck in MK, but never the full live act. "This promises to be one highly charged rare intimate show..."said the Beatcheck Monkey. "The new album is sounding great, it's going to be a skanking sweatbox on the dance-floor as the Pistols roll out the thunder in full force." The band are out on the road in support of their new opus, Return of the Pistoleros, and they will be joined by producer/drummer MGRX who has put together a one man live drum and bass show.  In-between the live stuff, DJ Matt Splatt will ensure the vibe remains suitably charged. Tickets - at £13 - are one sale now.  Visit www.beatcheck.co.uk/events for yours.
