Police Dog Hogan make for an arresting proposition at The Stables

Police Dog Hogan bring their driving country-rock rhythms and Americana vibe to Milton Keynes on Wednesday (April 19) when they make a return visit to the Stables.
The show is part of an extensive tour that began in February to promote their new studio album, and also allows the band to revisit their back catalogue.

The new album, ‘Wild By The Side Of The Road’ marks a turning point in the band’s recording career and has been attracting excited interest press and radio.

The collective musical skills of the band have been used to full effect to create an album that delivers on both interpretation and atmosphere underpinned by lead singer James Studholme’s lyrics based on stories and personal observations.

“It is always great to be invited back to play a particular venue,” says James Studholme.

“We enjoy meeting fans from our previous visits and getting to know new people. We’ll be playing a lot of the new album so that will be something interesting for everyone to explore, but we’ll also revisit many of our past favourites”.

Formed in 2009, the band has evolved over the years into a tight-knit eight-piece unit combining guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, accordion, trumpet, keyboards, bass and drums to create an exuberant fusing of country, pop, folk and rocking bluegrass.
