RAVENEYE TO PLAY FOR THE HOME CROWD THIS WEEK

As years go, 2015 was a bit of a belter for MK rock trio RavenEye who temporarily traded these parts to head out on the road with some fella called Slash...

Yep, the band were hand-picked to accompany the GnR guitarist and his band The Conspirators on a tour around Europe. It was a plump tour package, and one that guitarist Oli, drummer Kev and bassist Aaron ran towards.

When I was starting to learn the guitar, I vividly remember watching the music video for November Rain, seeing Slash rip up a solo in the desert and thinking 'I want to do that!” Oli - who commanded at last week's Larry Miller fundraiser at The Stables, told us.

The band fit in so well, and proved such a hit with fans that RavenEye were then asked back out to support Slash Stateside, which took them from Minneapolis to Seattle, and from San Francisco to Sacramento. They had a blast, but all good things come to an end, and our boys were back in time for Christmas, albeit not before backing the mighty Deep Purple on a couple of dates in France.

Now, armed with oodles of praise from the critics, and with a sharp live show as standard, the band is back to play for the home-crowd – they will be live at MK11 in Kiln Farm this Friday evening (Jan 22) as part of a UK tour of intimate venues.

A great night of raucous rock is a given. Doors open at 7.30pm.
