Step away from the hustle, clicks and traffic with James Yorkston at Milton Keynes Gallery

2016 has been a busy year for Fife songwriter James Yorkston, with two significant releases to his name: in January, Domino Records released Yorkston Thorne Khan’s Everything Sacred and in March, Freight Press published James’ second book, his debut novel Three Craws.

On Saturday (Dec 17) James will play live at MK Gallery, as part of his first solo tour of England since 2013. A  mix of his music and his writings will air, with support from Northamptonshire-based  Alex Simmons, a songwriter and collector of sounds.

Seeking adventure and inspired by the natural world, his music plays on escapism, depicting stories and sounds that resonate with a simpler life, away from the hustle, clicks and traffic of modern day.

Doors open at  7pm, tickets are £12.
