The Shtooks return with new EP, and play on home turf in Bedford

Bedford four-piece The Shtooks are back with a brand new four-track EP – Follow Me.

The band, made up of Andrew Hubbard, Lawrence Felice, Carlo Felice and Yann Mounot, will be celebrating the release of the record with a gig at Bedford’s Esquires on Saturday (November 26).

Lawrence Felice, lead guitarist, said: “We’re really excited about this new EP.

"We’ve been working with local producer Ben Farestvedt who has done a great job in bringing it all together. We can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve been up to while we’ve been away.”
Lawrence is one of The Shtooks founding members, he and old friend Andrew knew each other for more than 10 years before deciding to start the band.

Lawrence said: “Andrew went to school with Carlo, my little brother, who plays bass in the band. We knew we both played guitar but neither of us really did much about it.
“We jammed in Andrew’s living room in the summer of 2013 and wrote two tracks quite quickly, one of which – All I Do – we still play a lot today. From there we’ve never really struggled to write together.”

The band released their first EP – Papa Ganoosh – in 2014 and have since gone on to support a number of touring bands and play some iconic venues across Britain.

Follow Me will be available online on Saturday from all major music providers and CDs will be available at the gig, which takes place in Holy Moly’s. Doors open at 7:30pm.

Support on the night comes from another local act The Relights.
