Urban Roots Festival: 10 reasons why you need to go this weekend

There's not long to go now before the Urban Roots Festival takes over Willen Lake.


The event will go live tomorrow (Saturday, August 27)  between midday and 9pm, promising 'an incredible line up of urban music and entertainment for the whole family.'

1.    The Urban Music Award Best Afrobeats Artist of 2012, Fuse ODG will headline at festival
2.    British-Ghanaian musician, Mista Silva is performing his chart topping tracks
3.    Urban artists, Abra Cadabra will be taking to the stage as supporting act
4.    The UK’s biggest Urban Radio DJ, Abrantee will be hosting the event
5.    Nine mouth watering authentic street food venders will offer food from around the world 
6.    There will be a choice of drink tipples from a variety of pop-up bars
7.    The kid’s fun zone will be packed full of entertainment, including a bouncy caste, face painting, a creative hub and picnic area
8.    The festival has a special line-up of hilarious comedy acts 
9.    Adults can unwind and relax in the Shisha tent
10.  Donations from every ticket will be made to the Sickle Cell Society
 
Tickets are selling fast and can be purchased for an early bird reduced price of £15 per adult and £5 for under 16’s per person at www.urbanrootsfestival.co.uk kids under 10 go free.
Guests can expect to pay £20 on the door.
