DEBUT CONCERT FOR MK CITY ORCHESTRA'S NEWLY APPOINTED DIRECTOR

Meet Damian Iorio, MK City Orchestra's new music director. Damian's talents have afforded him a truly international career – among his many successes he was appointed artistic director and chief conductor with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Murmansk, and has also led the way in some of the finest opera houses and concert halls around the world. In early 2015 he will debut with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, but to more immediate matters first – on Tuesday (Sept 30) he will conduct his first concert here, at Milton Keynes Theatre.It is with great pleaure that I begin my first season with MKCO following in the footsteps of Hilary Davan Wetton and Sian Edwards,” he said.This wonderful orchestra has been a foundation stone of the cultural life in MK for 38 years and I'm looking forward to developing my relationship with the orchestra and the concert-going public,” he added.
