Gary Wilmot joins the Bucks Open Studios launch event Brush: With Fame

Earlier in the week, we told you about the Bucks Open Studios launch event, Brush: With Fame, which will see famous faces put to canvas in Milton Keynes at the end of the month, writes Sammy Jones.

And the famous faces count has just increased - Ace entertainer Gary Wilmot will join Flavia Cacace (Strictly Come Dancing), Michael Praed (Emmerdale and Robin of Sherwood), Clive Mantle (Holby City and Game of Thrones) and Rupert Fawcett (Off the Leash cartoonist), for the event in Middleton Hall atthecentre:mk on May 28.

Gary will be appearing as Badger in The Wind in the Willows, a musical written by Julian Fellowes at the London Palladium in June.

“I’ve had a bit of a dabble on the easel drawing and painting but maybe not to the standard of the Bucks Open Studios artists!" Gary said.

"I completely appreciate the value of the arts and I am delighted to be taking part in this wonderful event to promote Buckinghamshire’s artistic talent.”

The talented artists will have just four hours to skilfully capture the celebrities to canvas and the public will be able to get up close to and watch them in action; all for free.

Put it in your diary now, but expect a reminder closer to the event.  We're nice like that.
