Hula Animal Rescue have launched an urgent appeal - can you help?

Hula Animal Rescue relies on the generosity of supporters who enable the charity to care for animals in need of a second chance.

For more than four decades the Aspley Guise based centre has taken in the unwanted and the ill-treated.

It has provided warmth, food and love to animals left alone when owners have passed away or are unable to cope, and it has taken in too many strays to count.

From dogs cruelly tied-up and left alone at the charity gates, to much-loved cats given up by owners when personal circumstances have left them with no alternative, Hula has always done its best to help our vulnerable four legged friends.

Unfortunately, more animals than ever are being given up or 'thrown away' than ever before, whivch has put a huge strain on the charity.

And now Hula needs our help to continue its important work.

It is more than a year since Hula received its last legacy, which has resulted in a current period of financial hardship, and they are urgently appealing for assistance and financial contributions.

"We have been exploring every avenue and opportunity available to us and continue to do so to secure our future, however to keep our centre running over the coming months we are calling on the public and our supporters to help us raise vital funding," a spokesman told Total MK.

Please do consider donating whatever you can ensure Hula can continue to care for those who can’t care for themselves.

Donating is easy - click to their Just Giving page here

Alternatively, cheques can be made payable to 'HULA Animal Rescue' and sent to HULA, Glebe Farm, Salford Road, Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire, MK178HZ

Animal food supplies at the centre are currently at sufficient levels so donations of this nature are not in demand.
