MEET MILASHKI AND MISHKA, WOBURN SAFARI PARK'S NEW STAR ATTRACTIONS

The two rare and critically endangered Amur tiger cubs, recently born at Woburn Safari Park, have now been named – say hello to Milashki and Mishka.

Mishka (which means 'little bear' in Russian) was chosen by keepers from over 1,700 names sent in to Woburn Safari Park to enter the shortlist which went back to a public vote last week.

This name was suggested by Jessica Murray.

Milashki (which means 'cutie' in Russian) was named by Christine Ibbeson.

The tiger cubs are also now out on view to the public in their nine-acre enclosure with their mother, four-year-old tigress Minerva.

Amur tigers originate from Siberia in Russia, so the public was asked to suggest suitable Russian names for the cubs.
