[gallery link="file" ids="5122,5121,5120"] Woburn Safari Park has a new baby, and this one weighs in at more than 19 stone! The Park has announced the arrival of a new baby elephant, born to proud parents Damini and Raja. The female calf, who is yet to be named, stands just three feet tall right now, but when she grows up, she is expected to reach three metres tall and weigh in at a whopping four tonnes.Damini has taken to motherhood fantastically,” said Terry Shelton, head of the park's elephant team.She has been very relaxed, getting to know her newborn with gentle trunk touches whilst her new aunts, Chandrika and Yu-Zin, are able to watch the newborn take its first steps and suckle from Damini.” The 15th Duke of Bedford said: “The birth is a tribute to all of the elephant and veterinarian staff who have been working with and looking after Damini during her 22 month pregnancy.It is a fantastic day for Woburn Safari Park and the ongoing conservation of these endangered animals.”   For more information on Woburn Safari Park visit www.woburn.co.uk/safari
