DANCE TIL DAWN WITH FLAVIA AND VINCENT

Dazzling dance duo Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace are tango-ing their way to Tinseltown with the return of Dance Til Dawn at Milton Keynes Theatre from Monday (April 13).

The Strictly favourites received rave reviews for their first foray into theatre in 2010 with Midnight Tango and last year’s regional tour and West End run of Dance ‘Til Dawn proved to have just as much pizazz.

Set during the 1940s in Los Angeles, the show brings the glamorous golden era of Hollywood to life.

Vincent and Flavia take centre stage and their perfect partnership is one to rival that of the iconic Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, or Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse.

Think fancy footwork and sizzling chemistry.

Dance Til Dawn is a tongue-in-cheek pastiche of all those wonderful classic boy-meets-girl Hollywood romantic comedies.

The plot follows the exploits behind the scenes on a movie set. When the cameras stop rolling, leading man Bobby Burns is murdered. Before his untimely demise, he was playing with fire by cheating on stunning starlet Sadie Strauss (Flavia Cacace) with the bouffant-haired girlfriend of scary gangster Big Sam.

Meanwhile, the handsome rising star of the motion picture company, Tony DeLuca (Vincent Simone), has found himself falling for Sadie and a romance quickly develops between them.

When a plot to frame Tony for Bobby’s murder unfolds, the lovers find themselves in circumstances that lead them a merry dance as they fight to attest Tony’s innocence and identify the true culprit.

Directed by Olivier Award winning choreographer and director Karen Bruce (who also directed Midnight Tango) Dance ‘Til Dawn seamlessly showcases Vincent and Flavia’s versatility.

A variety of exhilarating ballroom and Latin styles feature in the production, from sprightly quicksteps and a romantic rumba to a cheeky Charleston, whirling waltzes and, of course, tantalising tangos.

It takes two to tango and fans will be expecting big things from Vincent and Flavia (and rightly so – you could quite happily spend every night watching those two dance until the sun comes up) but the show features a full cast of outstanding performers.

Dance ‘Til Dawn promises an evening of unforgettable entertainment, spectacular live music, superb singing and divine dancing – all topped off with Vincent and Flavia’s awe-inspiring signature Argentine Tango.

Dance ‘Til Dawn returns to Milton Keyes Theatre from Monday to Saturday 18 April.
