DICKENS ABRIDGED: ALL THE CLASSICS IN 90 MINUTES!

You might well be a fan of the prolific Charles Dickens, but you are never going to get through all his 'greatest hits' in just the one evening, are you?

Erm, yep, you can, actually.

And it's a whole lot of fun, as you'll find out if you take a ticket to Dickens Abridged, coming to Stantonbury Campus this Saturday night (Nov 7).

This show is from the marvellous mind of Adam Long, founding member of The Reduced Shakespeare Company and co-creator of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, and he has cooked up one heck of a fast-paced musical comedy for you.

Four Dickens obsessed dudes from California bring hundreds of the great author's best-loved characters to life in 90 minutes of madcap Dickensian musical mayhem.

MPMG Dickens Abridged

Dovetailing his greatest hits with the bizarre-but-true story of Dickens' own life, including his complicated romantic entanglements and his inexplicable enthusiasm for performing the bludgeoning scene from Oliver Twist over and over and over again...

Settle back, focus and let the bonkers mob drive you round the twist, as they say, and tease you with Great Expectations (which does come with the burning bride), David Copperfield, Bleak House (from start to finish in under 60 seconds), A tale of Two Cities (with a fully functioning guillotine...careful as you go), Nicholas Nickleby, The Old Curiosity Shop and A Christmas Carol.

MPMG Dickens Abridged 3

It's a singing, dancing love-letter to the life and works of the great man, and comes with the promise that you won't have seen anything quite like this before!

'An irresistible comic romp,' declared the Hollywood Reporter post-view.
