ELVIS INSPIRED MUSICAL WILL LEAVE YOU ALL SHOOK UP

Milton Keynes Theatre has a tale of hope, second chances and the healing qualities of rock n roll for you this week.

Love Me Tender is an upbeat new musical inspired by, and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley.

And it comes courtesy of the same producers who have already coloured up theatre-stages across the country with successes including Hairspray, Midnight Tango and the Rocky Horror Show.

In a small town in 1950's America, a guitar playing stranger rides into town on his motorbike.

But who is he?  The Devil in Disguise, perhaps?  Or a Hound Dog wearing Blue Suede Shoes?

One thing is for sure, the townsfolk are about to be All Shook Up, and none moreso than Natalie, the love-strick, tomboy mechanic...

LOVE ME TENDER the Musical

Love Me Tender - from the pen of the writer behind the West End hit Memphis - is yours to dig into from Monday (July 27) the start of a six day stay at the venue.

Sian Reeves, who was brilliant in BBC drama Cutting It (Did that really finish a decade ago?  Wow!) is misery-in-chief, Mayor Matilda Hyde, and Mica Paris is bar owner, Sylvia.

Love Me Tender is a foot tapping, hip-swivelling feel good rock n roll feast...go grab those tickets, folks.
