MK THEATRE: COUNT ARTHUR STRONG DROPS IN

Count Arthur Strong is bringing his bow-tied brilliance to MK Theatre this week, as he continues his tour of these isles in his show Somebody Up There Licks Me!

The creation of Steve Delaney will be in command at the venue on Sunday (March 22), and there will be malapropisms in abundance.

If you are familiar with his work, you'll know full well what that means.  If not?  Relax  - you'll laugh loads.

All you need do (apparently) is 'quietly suck your Maltesers and don't get up to go to the toilet, applauding loudly at the appropriate moments.  You'll laugh, cry and the other one,' we have been reliably (hopefully not too reliably) informed.

Count Arthur is far from a new-hat-wearer-on-the-block.  He was created in the 1980's, then revived in the 90's.

Since then he has commanded on  Radio 4, launched on the small screen on BBC2, and now brings the goods on BBC1.

"If you only buy one ticket for something this year buy a ticket for this one twice and bring a friend," he insists.

"I promise you, you won't regret it.  And if you do, there must be something wrong with you.  No refunds."

What do Paul McCartney, Billy Connolly, Steve Coogan and Paul Merton have in common?

They are all fans of this cheeky chap. If you let him, he'll win you over too.
