NEW SEASON AT MK THEATRE: CHEEKY PUPPETS, MURDER, MYSTERY, MUSIC AND DREAM BOYS BECKON!

The new season at MK Theatre is a belter, and whether you seek naughty adult puppets, murderers or a dollop of rock n roll, you'll find something to take your fancy in the pages of the new brochure.

And big names? There are plenty of those too.

In mid May (16-21) the cheeky puppets come back to play as Avenue Q (above) makes its return.

Not sure if a puppet show is for you? If you like mischief, bad behaviour and political correctness, walk right on in, you'll love it!

Antony Costa from Blue stars in the Marks & Gran hit Save the Last Dance for Me (May 23-28) which oozes with the music and magic of the early 60s.

It's a nostalgic, feel-good journey that will take you back to music's golden era as you enjoy hits including A Teenager in Love, Sweets for My Sweet, Suspicion and the title track.

Birds of a Feather's Lesley Joseph is the tyrannical Miss Hannigan in the new production of Annie (above, May 30 – June 4) transporting you to New York in 1930.

Brave young Annie is forced to live a life of misery and torment at Miss Hannigan's orphanage.

Determined to find her real parents, her luck changes when she is chosen to spend Christmas with famous billionaire, Oliver Warbucks...but not if Miss Hannigan can help it!

Drama fans will be gripped by Rehearsal for Murder (June 20-25), a Bill Kenwright production from the award-winning writing team Levison and Link, whose work includes Murder, She Wrote and Columbo.

Guys and Dolls (June 14-18) is a sizzling New York tale of gamblers, gangsters and nightclub singers, which stars Maxwell Caulfield and Richard Fleeshman, and that famous technicolour dreamcoat is back with Joseph (June 28-July 2), this time portrayed by X-Factor star Joe McElderry.

The world of music has never been the same since the loss of Michael Jackson, and the King of Pop is celebrated with Thriller Live (July 4-9) coming to us direct from London's West End and taking you through his 45 year career.

More than three and a half million people in 30 countries have already been dazzled.

Milton Keynes welcomes Helen George (Call the Midwife, Strictly Come Dancing) to the stage for After Miss Julie (above, July 18-23), a compelling and erotic psychological thriller inspired by Strindberg's 1888 masterpiece.

Fishnet fiends reach into the underwear drawer and do your best – Richard O'Brien's pelvic thrust inducing Rocky Horror Show (July 25-30) is back to bring smiles, and Sunny Afternoon debuts here at the end of August (30 – Sept 3), telling the captivating tale of how The Kinks rose to stardom.

With music by Ray Davies (obviously), you can sit back and be entertained by tracks like You Really Got Me, Lola and Waterloo Sunset.

One nighters are plentiful too. There is music with classical crossover sensation Russell Watson, (June 11) and enjoy piano pizazz with the inimitable Jools Holland (above June 8), or relive a much-missed superstar when Queen of the Night does its Whitney thing (June 26) before welcoming royalty with Mercury and the ultimate Queen tribute (June 9).

He is back with us (May 22) touring his current show Keep it Light, and Bill Bailey brings his latest show Limboland to town (June 19). Among the stories to make your face ache, the tale of a disastrous visit to Norway to check in with the Northern Lights.

But for all the aforementioned drama and musical fare, some of you just want ripped muscles and glistening torsos, and hey, we'll not judge.
