Funny Girl brought global fame to Barbra Streisand half a century ago and boasts some of the most iconic songs in film and theatre history - from People to Don’t Rain On My Parade.

This ‘iconic, legendary, laugh-out-loud’ musical, says The Times, tells the story of Fanny Brice, whose vocal talents and comedic ability see her rise from Brooklyn music hall singer to Broadway star.

Sheridan Smith will reprise her smash hit performance as Fanny Brice.

Alongside a feast of fabulous theatre work, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Legally Blonde and Hedda Gabbler, she has commanded on the small screen, with credits including The C Word, Cilla, The Widower, The 7.39, Dates, Mr Stink, Mrs Biggs (BAFTA Award for Best Actress), Accused, Gavin & Stacey, Larkrise to Candleford and The Royle Family.

There's a reason why she is referred to as 'a national treasure', you know.

Her name stamped against any stage or theatre piece is akin to a 'Quality assured' sticker, and this production will be a 2017 highlight.

Chris Peluso plays Nick Arnstein. His theatre work in the UK includes Show Boat and Miss Saigon, and in the US, Mamma Mia!, Beautiful, Wicked (tour) and The Glorious One.

It's a phrase used all to often in the arts, but truly, Funny Girl really is 'a must-see' show.
