Shoppers were surprised to find The Ugly Sisters, currently starring in Cinderella at Milton Keynes Theatre, in Debenhams earlier today.
The colourful uglies browsed the retailer’s vast shoe selection, before trying to beautify themselves in the Beauty Hall!
The characters appeared in store to surprise shoppers with free tickets to the show and spread festive cheer, as part of Debenhams #YouShall campaign which aims to help shoppers find their ‘Fairytale Christmas’.
Paul Cassidy, store manager at Debenhams Milton Keynes, said: “It has been wonderful bringing a taste of the theatre to Debenhams.
The surprise on shoppers’ faces when they saw cast members walking around the store was great, and to be able to give away pantomime tickets has been fantastic.
"Christmas is a magical time in Milton Keynes and we are delighted to have given a few lucky shoppers a Fairytale Christmas.”
The Ugly Sisters, played by Ben Stock and Neal Wright, said: “We found the perfect ball gown for the festive season – let’s hope one of us lands a Prince Charming too.”
Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients, Cinderella at the Milton Keynes Theatre runs from Saturday, December 9 to Sunday, January 14.
