THEATRE: AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS AT THE STABLES

You won’t need to book your Christmas holidays this year as the New International Encounter invite you to join them on the greatest adventure ever imagined, writes Sarah Davies.

But you will want to hold on to your seats as they take you on a wacky trip to some of the world’s biggest destinations all in an hour and 45 minutes!

Join Phileas Fogg and his faithful servant Passepartout in their audacious plan to navigate the globe in just 80 days. With only a bag full of money, a pocket watch and a wager to win, Fogg sets out on the most celebrated literary journey of all time.

Based on Jules Verne’s famous novel and combining clowning, live music, storytelling and an international ensemble, Around the World in 80 days takes you on a high-speed, madcap and transcontinental race against the clock.

“This delightful, well-paced show sparkles with wit and originality… a deliciously fresh Christmas show. Original, funny and beautifully acted,” said The Stage.

The alternative panto will be running from this Tuesday (22 Dec) up into the New Year (2 Jan) and is suitable for those over 6 years old.

Doors for the first showing open at 7pm and the show starts at 3pm for the last showing (2 Jan). There will also be a relaxed performance on Monday (28 Dec) at 1:30pm. Tickets start from £11 and go up to a maximum of £20.
