THEATRE: HELEN GEORGE ANNOUNCED FOR LEAD ROLE IN AFTER MISS JULIE

She has already been taken to the nations hearts for her role in the prime time drama Call The Midwife, starring as bubbly Trixie Franklin, and has spent the past few months wowing us with her fancy footwork on Strictly Come Dancing.

Now Helen George is coming to Milton Keynes – to star in an erotic psychological thriller based on an original 19th century example of Nordic Noir!

Helen will play the title role in Patrick Marber’s play After Miss Julie, visiting MK Theatre in July as part of a short tour prior to a West End transfer.

After Miss Julie is set in 1945 in an English country house, on the eve of Labour’s landslide victory at the end of the second world war.

During a summer ball, the beautiful daughter of the peer who owns the house, wanders into the servant’s quarters.

As she flirts with her father’s handsome chauffeur, indifferent to the presence of his fiancée, what begins as game-playing ignites into passion with devastating consequences...

Tickets for the show, which visits MK between July 18 & 23, are on sale now.
