THEATRE: RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET AT THE CHRYSALIS THEATRE

Landing at The Chrysalis Theatre from Thursday (July 30) is Return to the Forbidden Planet, checking in at The Chrysalis Theatre for a three day stay.

Community theatre group, CLICK Arts is delivering 'Shakespeare's Rock n Roll Sci Fi Musical Mash Up' which will cut loose classic tunes including Good Vibrations, Great Balls of Fire and The Monster Mash. 

The story is based on the cult B-Movie Forbidden Planet,which was compared to The Tempest, and some of The Bard's most famous words will feature during the stage delivery.

'The Starship Albatross is on a routine scientific survey flight when it encounters a meteor shower. 

Pulled to a strange new planet the square-jawed hero Captain Tempest and his crew meet a megalomaniac scientist, his naive teenage daughter, and a rollerblading robot...'

We have had it confirmed that pyrotechnics will be adding boom to the deliveries too.

This cast will certainly be giving it their all – singing, dancing and using instrumentation.

Take in a show at the Willen theatre between Thursday and Saturday, at 7.30pm nightly. Tckets are £12 & £8.

A Saturday Matinee will run from 2.30pm and all tickets are £8.
