A look at the Medieval history standing proud in Milton Keynes

If its walls could talk, St Lawrence would have plenty to say - the church in Broughton has been at the heart of the community for nearly 700 years.

On Sunday (August 7) the Friends of St Lawrence will welcome you to this beautiful old church and show you around its stunning history.
It’s quite the visual feast too - and a great chance to see the magnificent medieval wall paintings that it is famous for.

The church, set a mere five minutes from Central Milton Keynes, will also host a ‘bring and share’ Village Picnic from midday

Refreshments will be available throughout the day, and activities for children will ensure youngsters are kept occupied while you soak in the history.

August 10 is the Feast Day of St Lawrence and it’s a special day for this special church; This event is also part of the Churches Conservation Trust’s Midsummer Tea Party initiative, so there will be the chance to indulge in a cheeky slice of cake too!
