Ben Westlake returns to Milton Keynes to play for home audience

Ben Westlake, a former BBC Young Musician of the Year finalist has been living, studying and playing in Paris, but he has now come back to his home town of Milton Keynes and is giving a local concert.

Since his 'BBC musician' success Ben’s playing has gone from strength to strength.

He has studied with some of the finest clarinet players in the world, won several competitions and given performances in many major venues - including performing as a soloist with the famous tenor, Dennis O'Neill under Sir Mark Elder.

Ben is known for his ability to engage with audiences - on a recent cruise he played to 1000 people in one day receiving standing ovations.
He is playing with the stunning young pianist, Tyler Hay, who has won the International Liszt competition in Weimar and the Royal Overseas League keyboard prize.

The concert includes something for everyone, including Mozart, the Carmen Fantasy, Liszt, Chopin and Acker Bilk.

The clarinet and piano recital is happening on Saturday (July 1) at St Mary and St Giles Church, in Stony Stratford.

Tickets are £8 (free for under18s) and available on the door. Doors open at 7pm.
There will be an interval with refreshments.
