Britain's Got Talent winner to open UK tour in Milton Keynes

The current winner of Britain’s Got Talent, magician and soldier Lance Corporal Richard Jones has announced his first UK tour - and he's kicking it off at MK11 on April 23!

After receiving a standing ovation at the Royal Variety Show in December where he read the mind of HRH Prince Charles, Richard’s new show will go that step further combining magic and mind-reading, taking the audience on a journey through their own imagination and uncovering the unsolved mysteries of the mind.

Richard has recently been promoted to Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star, the most prestigious honour in The Magic Circle.

“I cannot wait to meet the audiences of my upcoming tour as I have lots of big surprises in my show for them," said Richard.
"After reading the Mind of Prince Charles at The Royal Variety, I'm now looking forward to involving people from all over the UK in something very special. Combining my experiences of being a Soldier with my passion for Magic.”

East End born Richard, who grew up in Essex, stole the hearts of the nation with his captivating performances on Britain’s Got Talent.
He was the first magician to ever win the show. Richard wowed the judges and public with his mind-reading skills that involved a David Beckham cut-out and turning a can of fizzy orange into hot tea, and a trick that gave Amanda Holden and David Walliams electric shocks!

Another centred around Amanda’s biography caused Simon Cowell to call him a “wizard” and Amanda herself proclaiming it “the best magic trick in 10 years that we’ve seen on this show”.
After more than 2.5million people voted in the final, Richard was crowned the winner of BGT’s 10th series.

Despite his success and the multitude of media appearances and interviews following his win, Richard continues to be in the army alongside performing full time as a magician.
One of the proudest moment in Richard’s military career came when he performed at the D-Day Memorial Ceremony in Normandy, Northern France, in June 2014 in front of Her Majesty The Queen, French President Francois Hollande, U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

And some exciting TV news is on the horizon for the fella, too...
