'CRUNCH' TIME FOR STONY STRATFORD

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, so the saying goes, but today's (Oct 11) Apple Day will give you plenty of opportunity to get out and play!

Mill Field in Stony Stratford is hosting the green event, and the celebration of the failsafe fruit brings with it plenty of added attractions – aside from cider, apple pressing and an apple competition, visitors to the bash will enjoy a flea market, craft stalls, face painting, samba music (from Lobo Tren) and lots of food demos.

Fancy a lesson in foraging? You got it. Family clay modelling? Consider it done. Men in Sheds will be on hand to share skills too.

There's lots to get stuck into between midday and 4pm, with a promise that it'll be apple to the core!
