FLAGS AT THE READY: THE PROMS RETURN TO CAMPBELL PARK

There is a check-list that you need to adhere to before heading to Campbell Park on Friday night (Aug 14).

It's a small, but essential one comprising blanket, picnic and fizz!

Flags and seats are optional, but a cheery persona is a must – ladies and gents, it's time for the annual Proms in the Park bash.

Milton Keynes City Orchestra has again joined forces with The Parks Trust to deliver a fabulous night of classical favourites, and there is a familiar face in charge of the baton – orchestra founder Hilary Davan Wetton.

Joining the orchestra with her ace vocal ability will be soprano Janice Watson (below).

MPMG Janice Watson

The Grammy recipient has been friends with Hilary for a number of years, and the two enjoy a terrific musical relationship which will make for a marvellous night.

It also means that ahead of the all-traditional firework display which pulls the curtain down on the event, the audience can get set for musical fireworks on the stage.

Tickets for your sterling night of sounds are on sale at £14, or £8 for children.

Family tickets are also available, at £35.
