FOLK RISER KELLY OLIVER TO SUPPORT TANNAHILL WEAVERS AT SONG LOFT JAUNT

Tickets are on sale - and going fast - for the return of The Tannahill Weavers to Stony Stratford this week.

Scotland's trad aces play fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs and original ballads and lullabies  spanning the centuries.

They sold-out last time around, and promoters are set for a repeat affair.

If you want in, visit www.thesongloft.co.uk and be along to The Cock Hotel for the Song Loft event nice and early - young folker Kelly Oliver (above) is also on the bill.

Her debut album, This Land, received airplay on Radio 2, and sat among the Top Folk Albums of the Year listed by The Telegraph.

She has supported Cara Dillon and duetted with former Fairport Convention fiddle legend Dave Swarbrick, and was awarded Album of the Year by FolkWords.

She's firmly on the rise, is Kelly, join her - and her harmonica and guitar - at the Thursday's (Feb 26) Cock Hotel gig, from 8pm.

Tickets are £10 in advance, £12.50 on the doors.
