GALLERY: RAIN DOESN'T STOP PLAY AT HULA RESCUE CENTRE

(scroll down for gallery) Rain might have disrupted proceedings at Hula's open day yesterday, but the Aspley Guise based animal sanctuary is made of strong stuff, and managed to keep the pennies rolling in, despite the puddles. "It was a good day despite some outbursts of torrential rain!" a spokesman told Total MK. "Unfortunately, the classic and American car display that was scheduled was unable to go ahead due to the weather, but it was a nice turn-out nonetheless. "Our cafe, 'The Trough' was busy serving tea and cakes and the sun did make an appearance during the afternoon. "We're happy to say that two of our dogs were reserved during the day after families spotted them at the event," they said. "We were very grateful to the stall-holders, our volunteers and all of the guests for making the day a success, despite the glorious British weather!"   Pics: Sarah Steffen [gallery columns="4" link="file" ids="4030,4032,4031,4029,4028,4027,4026,4025"]
