HALF TERM FUN: HISTORY COMES ALIVE AT MK MUSEUM

This half term pack the kids up and treat them to a day out that is as every bit as informative as it is entertaining, but with the emphasis very much hooked on to fun.

It's cheap too, and on your doorstep. Yep, a trip to Milton Keynes Museum really is as good as it seems.

Aside from all the usual demonstrations and displays, the museum has set up a number of half term treats, and invites you to enjoy extraordinary science experiments with Professor Beamish, and engage with fascinating magic lantern shows. You can even make your own peg dolls.

There's so much to do that what you might think will be over in an hour or two could quite easily wind up taking the whole day.

It's your choice how long you stay for.

Wander the parade of old shops, send morse code, attending a school lesson (Victorian style) and make hot buttered toast over the range, and too much more to list in the here and now.

When your brood has worked up an appetite, lead them to the granary cafe for tasty, affordable bites that will stave off hunger pangs and lead to happy little bellies and minds!

You don't have to take our word for what a fun time is waiting to be had, mind you – take that of a parent who has sampled the museum directly and left their feedback on TripAdvisor: “The best museum we've been to in terms of hands-on stuff. I had to drag my five children out.”

The museum – on McConnell Drive - will welcome you from Monday (Feb 15 ) to Friday (Feb 19) between 11am and 4.30pm.
