HALF TERM WINNER: TAKE A TRIP TO MK MUSEUM

Come rain or shine you are guaranteed a fun time this half term - by taking your brood to MK Museum. The Wolverton-based historical hub is always a winner with families entire, and next week comes with added 'school holiday' attractions. Visitors will be able to enjoy extraordinary science demonstrations with the great Professor Beamish, illuminating magic lantern shows, and make music the way the Victorians did. Speaking of the Victorians, don't forget to stop by the authentic school room, before a visit to the kitchen for a belly filling slice of hot buttered toast. All of the other usual attractions will welcome you too - the transport hall, Connected Earth gallery and the toy room with its retro line-up. IMG_3673 copy The Living Archive has produced a First World War exhibition, Milton Keynes; the Great War Remembered which is also being housed on site for the duration of next week.  The centenary year exhibition features an array of unusual objects on loan, and the opportunity to listen to the first hand accounts of people who fought in the war. Total MK visited with our mini-experts - Chloe, Lucy and Emily - and everyone returned home with happy heads full of historical facts... It's a gem of a place, guaranteed to put a smile on everyone's face. MK Museum will be open daily between 11am and 4.30pm. For more information, click to www.mkmuseum.org.uk
