HITMAN BLUES BAND READY FOR INTIMATE STABLES DATE

The Hitman Blues Band are back in the UK with The New York City Horns – and they arrive at The Stables this Tuesday (Oct 28) evening. Russell 'Hitman' Alexander, son of NY jazz scene vibes player Ray Alexander is an ace songwriter – reflected in the nominations the band has received at the US blues grammies. Hitman is the real deal and has a striking charismatic personality.   He's played with some of the best too:I've been fortunate to have played with great musicians and fantastic acts including Johnny Copeland, Lavette Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, The Coasters, The Ink Spots, Whitney Houston and Bernard Purdie, top US session and Steely Dan drummer,” Hitman said. This is blues at its best, and a rare opportunity to catch the collective on British soil. Tickets for the intimate date are a snip too – at just £10. Show time is 8.45pm.
