LEADING TRUMPET SOLOIST TO PLAY CHURCH OF CHRIST THE CORNERSTONE

One of the UK's leading trumpet soloists will be giving it plenty of puff at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone this Saturday night (April 30).

John Macdomnic regularly plays with major orchestras and opera companies and is a familiar face at St Paul's Cathedral, where he works as a frequent soloist.

This show in the new city will see him join with Adrian Boynton on organ and piano for a performance that will feature works by Handel, Marcello, Mozart, Hummel, Chopin, Saint Saens and Gershwin.

The morning programme begins at 11.30am and admission is by programme on the door at £8 (£7.50 for concessions, £1 for children).

> This Thursday evening (April 28) the Exploring Music series presents Master of the German Baroque, with Adrian Boynton back, this time giving an illustrated talk on music-makers Froberger, Buxtehude and Telemann.

Admission is £5, and it begins at 7.30pm.
