Workshop guests are welcomed by experienced dance teachers, followed by the exciting opportunity to learn the actual Michael Flatley dance steps on stage.

An exclusive behind the scenes tour gives the visitors a chance to see what life is like for the touring dancers and view the stunning costumes. The workshop then comes to an end with a Q&A session with members of the Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games cast.

Workshops are open to all, children and adults, making it an inclusive experience. Participants will be grouped according to their ability.

Michael Flatley said: “I am delighted and very proud to launch our pop-up dance workshops as part of the new UK tour of Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games. Our professional dancers set the scene of what it’s like to pursue a career in dance before teaching our newcomers those all-important steps. There’s no greater feeling than inspiring the next generation of dancers.”

Dance captain Tom Cunningham has been with Lord of the Dance for 10 years, regularly performing alongside Michael Flatley. He plays a Dark Lord in the new show and coaches the dance workshops.

Tom added: “Our first pop-up workshop was in Liverpool to open the tour and we received an overwhelming response with over 50 dancers and fans taking part – what a fantastic start. We are extremely excited to be giving our loyal fans the incredible opportunity to tread the boards with our talented cast. We can promise an unforgettable experience and who knows, we may just discover new dancing talent.”

Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games runs at Milton Keynes Theatre from Tuesday 4 April to Sunday 9 April.
