MUM'S THE WORD AT ANIMAL RESCUE CENTRE

The pesky weather has proven quite the bug-bear for organisers of Hula Animal Rescue's essential monthly fundraisers in recent times.

So can we all keep our fingers crossed (and maybe do a little sun dance?) ahead of Sunday's (March 13) Mum's the Word event?

If the skies play our way and the field stays dry, it'll be all hands to the charity pumps for a cash-sweller of an afternoon.

This time around, pamper treatments for humans and dogs will be given, and the favourite Hula Dog Parade will get tails wagging at 2.30pm.

As the pooches strut their stuff, us two-legged types can enjoy refreshments from The Trough Cafe, and pick up a bargain (or two) in the bazaar and over at the Pet Bed Shed.

The kids are always well catered for at these events too, with plenty of fun and games for them to get stuck into.

Entry is £2 for adults, and accompanied children admitted free.

Hula Animal Rescue is located at Glebe Farm in Aspley Guise, and it provides an essential lifeline for our furry (and not so furry) friends in need.

Sunday's event will run between 1pm and 3.30pm.
