Phoenix Rising:MK launches open mic nights for adults with learning disabilities in Milton Keynes

PHOENIX Rising:MK who run creative and social activities for adults with learning disabilities and support needs in Milton Keynes are kicking off the first of many regular monthly open mic nights this week, at The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton.

“We currently offer day service provision in a range of activities to over 60 clients from Milton Keynes and south Northants mainly from our base in the beautiful village of Wicken” said Adrian Pinckard, director of Phoenix Rising:MK.

“We run Performing Arts sessions as part of our programme and for some time now a lot of our group members have been looking for a regular open mic evening in Milton Keynes and so we are responding to this need.”

The open mic sessions are open to all adults with support needs, not just people who attend Phoenix Rising:MK.

The first one will be taking place from 7pm on Tuesday (October 17).

Entry is £7 (carers/support workers get in for free) and the bar will be open all evening.
