RUGBY WORLD CUP: CELEBRATE THE FIERY SIDE WITH CLASH OF DRUMS

An explosive and thrilling outdoor spectacle has been commissioned to celebrate the arrival of the Rugby World Cup to MK, and the fiery event is being hosted in the heart of town this Friday and Saturday night (October 2 & 3).

International companies Les Commandos Percu, from France, and Spanish aces Deabru Beltzak will do battle in Clash of Drums/Danbor Talka.

The proposition will be as mesmerising as it is intriguing; the two tribes will meet in a cataclysmic collision of fast and frenzied drumming, war-like chanting, fireworks, pyrotechnics and fiercely dramatic movement.

Crowds will be able to follow the combat action as it sweeps through the heart of town, eventually reaching a fiery finale at The Point, when the fury of the devilish war-painted forces is transformed into a common energy – unified by fire.

Clash of Drums has been commissioned by The Parks Trust Events Ltd and developed by The Stables and IF:MK to bring this piece to life, with support from Festive Road.

It's a free event, open to all.

Check the beats: Clash of Drums sets off from Lloyds Court at 8pm on Friday, and Campbell Park at 9.30pm on Saturday.
